Alrena precision macerator V48
The Alrena precision macerator V48 has 48 outlets with a diameter of 40 mm.
The Alrena precision macerator is a newly developed cutting and distributing system which distributes the slurry very precise. The design is very compact and the conversion to bigger or smaller amounts of output is very easy and takes little time. The Alrena precision macerator allows a 40% higher air passage in comparison to conventional distributors and it has a large 5” connection without taper for the slurry to come in. In case of dry running the temperature of the newly developed precision macerator stays low so there will be no or little wear.

Rotating cutting system
The basis of the new Alrena precision macerator is a newly developed cutting system with rotating round knives. The pivot point of the rotating cutting discs is off-centre to the holes of the perforated plate. Due to the different pivot points and the resistance of the solids to be cut in the slurry, the knives rotates constantly. Thanks to this forced rotation, each cut is carried out with a new piece of knife. The rotation also provides the advantage that the knifes work self-sharpening and no wear grooves are generated. Spiral springs between the left and right knifes will tension both knifes equally.
Interior construction V48
The inside of the macerator head consists of a rotor and two hole disks with 24 outlets on each side. Alrena has several rotors and hole discs to adjust the capacity of the precision macerator. As standard, a precision macerator is equipped with a 6-knife rotor (R6) on both sides and a standard G5 hole disc. You can ask Alrena for exactly the right configuration when the capacity needs to be very small or large.
