Système d’Alrena Section Control (ASC)
Alrena est le producteur de la raccords tournants Alrena (pour les systèmes sans tonne).
The spreading of slurry requires more and more precision. Section control with the ALRENA ASC-system allows individual hose outlets or pre-programmed sections to be switched on or off. Due to a two-chamber system in the ASC compressed-air valve, slurry and air are separate from each other and there is no mixing. With a working pressure of approx. 4.5 bar, the slurry has no chance to flow through. The ASC compressed-air valve is easy to install (also possible as a retrofit) and has a very short reaction time for closing and opening.
Unique in:
■ Two-chamber system: slurry and air always separate from each other
■ Very short reaction time for closing and for opening
■ Working pressure ca. 4,5 bar
■ Minimal friction wear, as air pressure balloon retracts completely in the housing

How does the ASC-system work?
With normal slurry application, it looks like the illustration like above. When the ASC-system is switched on, the space between the steel casing (yellow) and the outer casing (green) fills with air (air chamber). This presses the outer casing (green) against the inner casing (blue). The inner casing (blue) forms a blockage in the inner pipe through a recess in the inner pipe. And this stops the slurry supply. In the neutral state, the slurry feed (inner pipe) is completely open, without tapering (see side view here under). Working pressure is ca. 4.5 bar.
A wide range of possibilities
The Alrena Section Control system is offered as a complete set directly from the factory together with the Bomech trailing shoe distributors. Depending on the customer’s requirements, the system can reduce the working width to any desired working width. Furthermore, the tramlines can also be switched off through the system. The valves are switched via a centrally mounted control box. The control itself is either carried out through an optional Alrena control screen or is integrated in the tanker control unit and can be switched via GPS (depending on the possibilities of the tanker manufacturer).
